As a popular type of LED bead in the market, high-power LED beads have higher power and brighter brightness compared to low-power beads, making them relatively expensive. For many friends, they are actually not very familiar with LED high-power lamp beads, so it is easy to misunderstand LED high-power lamp beads. Today, let me share with you some basic knowledge that we must understand clearly about high-power LED lamp beads.
1. For purchasing high-power LED beads, we need to choose LED lights with constant current power supply. The prices of components such as resistors, capacitors, and ICs in LED driver power supply vary greatly, and the rationality of the overall power supply scheme and circuit design will directly affect the quality of the product. Some driving power supplies only have constant voltage and do not achieve constant current, while LED lights must have constant current to better ensure quality and service life.
2. We must have a clear understanding of relevant standards when purchasing high-power LED beads. From a safety perspective, products should comply with relevant international and national standards. Due to the fact that LED is a new product and Chinese national standards are lagging behind, only product qualification testing is provided. So international safety certification (such as GS, CE, UL, etc.) is the standard for measuring the quality of LED lights. At the same time, there are not many manufacturers who have international safety certification and national product quality certificate. When purchasing, it is necessary to carefully identify the authenticity of the certificate. Products with international safety certification generally have higher prices.
3. Be careful of the low-priced trap. The price of LED light sources with high-power LED beads varies greatly, and LEDs of the same color and brightness can have several times the price difference. This gap is mainly reflected in the reliability and performance of LED, such as light attenuation and appearance technology. Low priced LEDs have smaller chip sizes, rough electrodes, poor materials (such as fluorescent powder and glue), poor resistance to current and temperature and humidity changes, fast light decay, and short lifespan. Therefore, blindly pursuing low prices may not be worth the loss.
